Modern Technologies of Cucumber Growing

Rural Adisory Service arranged demonstration plot of cucumber in the villages Zoreti, Rustavi and Tmogvi in 2008 and in the village Tsnisi, Ude and Enteli in 2010. The aim of the plot was to introduce new varieties and technologies of cucumber growing. The cucumber was grown by the supports with extruded nets and dripped irrigation system was installed, the Dutch variety of pickled cucumber was also tested together with the local sorts, the selected Dutch varieties were Mirabel, Masha, as well as salad variety of cucumber Asker.

1000 kg of cucumber per 100 square meters was yielded with appliance of the mentioned cucumber varieties and modern technologies
